Biography

Anahit Avanesyan was born on March 21, 1981, in Yerevan, Republic of Armenia.

Education

1997-2003 - Yerevan State University, Master's degree in Civil Law:

2002–2004 – American University of Armenia, Master of Laws (LL.M.) Degree.

2002–2004 – Center for Leadership Development

2003 – Participation in the leadership program for young women of Transcaucasia and the South Caucasus. In 2003, at the Council of Europe, Strasbourg, she got acquainted with the structure and functions of the Council of Europe.

Professional Experience

Since 2022 - Member of the “Civil Contract” Political Party.

Since 2021- Member of the Board of the Gavi International Alliance.

On August 3, 2021, Anahit Avanesyan was reassigned as Minister of Health.

Since January 18, 2021 – Minister of Health.

2020–2021 – First Deputy Minister of Health.

2018–2020 – Deputy Minister of Health.

2017–2018 – Member of the Board of “Arpharmacia” CJSC.

2017–2018 – Director of “Abovyan 39” LLC.
